Happy New Year, everyone! Let’s kick off the year with our annual tradition started by /u/dorkprincess; **the /r/bangtan Awards 2023 nominations** are now open!
Let’s gather up the most touching, most memorable, funniest, and weirdest stuff from 2023!

## How it works
* Nominations can be submitted in the linked comment thread for about 1 week.
* Nominations that were submitted via [the rolling nomination form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdXfrR4Z00hKgjImGJ1OaWW04usyet4Uhzgw9qZDWJnfk7Ukg/viewform) throughout last year will be included. You do not have to nominate again.
* After the nominations are closed, a separate google form will be posted for the 1st round of voting. This round will determine the top 5 of each category.
* The top 5 nominees go forth into the final round of voting. This round will determine the ultimate winners.
* If there are less than 5 nominees in a category, the winner will be determined in the first round and that category won’t have a final round.
* Winners will be featured in the sub wiki!

* Submit your nominations by replying to the linked category threads. Adding something about why you think the nomination is noteworthy is welcomed, but not mandatory.
* The period of eligibility for nominations is January 8th, 2023 (KST) – January 15th, 2023 (11:59PM KST).
* Post only nomination comments in the linked comment threads. If you want to discuss the nominations or ask questions, please reply to this post like you normally would.
* **Include links in your nominations whenever possible**.
* You can nominate as many things in as many categories as you wish, as long as they fall in the eligible time period and are relevant to the categories.

# SUBREDDIT DAESANG
**Description:** A submission, discussion, comment or other moment on r/bangtan that was especially interesting, thoughtful or otherwise memorable – a post you would upvote a million times if possible or super-gild.
**Nomination Format:** Title or description of the reddit post and a link to it.
# BORAHAE AWARD
**Description:** An individual ARMY or a group of ARMYs who went above and beyond and did something for BTS or the fandom as a whole that made you think, “Wow ARMY is really amazing!”
**Nomination Format:** Name of the ARMY (their reddit username, twitter/tumblr/etc. ) along with a description of what they did, and a link to the post/tweet/photo/gif/video etc. of what they did. You can also submit things that were not done by anyone specific, but ARMY as a general collective.
# BEST BTS MOMENT
**Description:** The moment that defined BTS in 2023.
**Nomination Format:** A clear description of the moment as well as a link to a video/gif/picture/piece of media as necessary.
# MEME OF THE YEAR
**Description:** The very best fandom-generated meme of BTS that was either created or rose to prominence in 2023.
**Nomination Format:** Description/name of the meme along with a link to an example. Feel free to add multiple examples.
# GIF/PHOTO OF THE YEAR
**Description:** The most iconic GIF or photo of BTS or an individual member in 2023.
**Nomination Format:** Description/title of the GIF/photo along with the link to it. Credit if possible.
# VERSE OF THE YEAR
**Description:** The verse from a BTS song, collab or solo work released in 2023 that stood out to you in some way.
**Nomination Format:** The verse in its entirety, which member(s) sang it, and which song it came from. Please include an English translation for Korean lyrics.
# LYRIC OF THE YEAR
**Description:** A single line from a BTS song, collab or solo work released in 2023 that you feel describes the year of 2023 the best (either in general or for BTS), or is otherwise memorable.
**Nomination Format:** The line and which song it came from. Please include an English translation if the line is in Korean. Do not include full verses.
# BEST NON-ALBUM TRACK/COVER
**Description:** The best track, collab or cover a member or members of BTS did outside official albums in 2023.
**Nomination Format:** Title of the song/collab/cover, which members participated, and a link to the official release.
# THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CLOWNS IN CIRCUS
**Description:** Moments when we were confidently incorrect, enrolled in clown college, and felt hilariously stupid in hindsight. Make sure to include only **lighthearted or silly events we can laugh about!**

# MOST RELATABLE MOMENT
**Description:** A moment when BTS or an individual member made you say “tbh same…”
**Nomination Format:** A clear description of the moment as well as a link to a video/gif/picture if possible.

**Description:** A moment when BTS or an individual member made you go “what the….??”
**Nomination Format:** A clear description of the moment as well as a link to a video/gif/picture if possible.
# BEST BTS X OTHER ARTIST INTERACTION
**Description:** The best, most heartwarming, or most fun interaction BTS (as a group or individual members) had with another celebrity in 2023 (online or in person).

# BEST BTS X ARMY INTERACTION
**Description:** The best interaction BTS has had with their fans in 2023. Due to the pandemic, like 2020, this category can be online interactions (like Weverse) or from the concerts/live performances

**Description:** The best casual live broadcast on Weverse or YouTube. Can include logs. Does not include live performances and concerts.
**Nomination Format:** Include the title of the video and link to it.
# BEST BTS VARIETY EPISODE OR DOCUMENTARY
**Description:** The best episode of a variety show or documentary **produced by BigHit in 2023**
**Nomination Format:** Include the title or a description of the episode and a link if possible. Videos behind a paywall don’t need to be linked.
# BEST BANGTAN BOMB 2023
**Description:** The best Bangtan Bomb or Episode from 2023. Can be funny, heartwarming, cute, etc.!
**Nomination Format:** Include the title of the video as well as a link to the video (eng subbed if needed).
