I set an alert for this and was on the woobles site about 5 minutes early and it looked like the kits were available to buy. I snatched the collector’s edition right up. 😁
Glad I did because not 10 minutes later, they were all sold out already.

Initially I was going to buy the whole set. But then I realized I’ve never crocheted before. So I decided to buy just one and see how I do and go from there.
I was going to get a few of these to have the custom hooks, since I’m an experienced crocheter but at these prices I just made a deal with a friend to trade her for the RJ hook she’s getting 🤣

Resisting this with the fact that I have in the past purchased and ended up giving away so much yarn because I just cannot stick to an arts and crafts habit. They are very cute though.
Sad I missed out on the collectors edition by the time I checked my email, but I did get the whole set. Even though I don’t know how to crochet.
I did buy the Penguin to try it out a few weeks ago in anticipation of this launch and I like it, but my adhd is too strong for me to concentrate for long enough, lol. But I look forward to slowly making these!

I got Shooky, RJ and Koya! I was tempted to get the Collector’s Edition but I reaaally don’t need more knitting/crochet tools and accessories, no matter how cute they are. 😭

For anyone hesitating about learning how to crochet, amigurumi like this is one of the best ways to learn how to crochet! Especially if you have concerns about retaining attention long enough to actually finish a project. The stitches and techniques are beginner friendly (single crochet stitch, increasing, decreasing, and magic loop/circle for crocheting in a round) and the projects are small enough that there shouldn’t be any concern about injuries from repetitive motions. And as a bonus, you get a cute animal to display at the end.

I got RJ & Shooky. I normally collect Chimmy & Mang, but didn’t feel AS cute (I want Chimmy to have slightly bigger eyes, but I didn’t feel like spending more to replace). Shooky was just really looking cute for this, so I’ll be happy to have my first Shooky merch. Never have crocheted before, so this is perfect.
