As always – not a big fan of Geffen, but I will say it’s clear they get some talkings too to come correct.
It was a mistake, as in he accidentally responded with the Taylor link? I think intent matters. If he did it on purpose, he deserves to be dragged 🤷🏾♀️ Just my opinion…
“This was made by mistake and in no way reflects either the views of the employee or those of our company.”
Boo! If it didn’t, why the hell post that tweet?! Yeah, with all the backlash, I bet you are sorry. Do better!
Wasn’t he a director of streaming or something like that? So not a simple employee. They make it sound like he was an intern. Mistake or not, they should apologise.
Put your money where your mouth is and actually support his work. This statement means nothing
This sounds like they’re scolding fans and defending a grown man that had several avenues of action if it really was a mistake. This is a bullshit non apology.
I work in a tiny, boutique social media marketing agency, and if anyone in my place of employment did what that employee did, they would have been fired on the spot. Absolutely wild that the most he’s getting is a “talking to” from the compliance team.
I’m not one to be like “the company’s are out to get x,y,z, but it really feels like this company does not hold that much respect for the members of BTS, beyond what money they can ring out of the partnership.
Beat around the bush. Don’t take responsibility. Continue to be disrespectful.
lmao sure, and how do you make a mistake like that??? istg

This was my honest reaction … and lots of side eye … lots of side eye.
Edit – I’m still SMH at this .. what a gong show, like get it together Geffen – in this day & age, this shit should not be happening. Why can’t he apologize? He’s the one who was rude AF.
Can they also start standardizing their new release template? I’m tired of seeing fans having to ask pls include this or that preorder link on xyz platforms. We have about 8 or 9 solo releases now and they should have figured that fans expect a certain consistency when it comes to this type of stuff.
this was completely unprofessional, shouldn’t have even happened in the first place 🤦🏼♀️
like, whose views did that tweet represent? his fictional alter ego’s? did he just forget to switch accounts?
I am completely out of the loop, what tweet are they talking about? Did an employee tweet something negative about Jimin from their personal account?
Those sure are words!
I wouldn’t expect them to admit “an employee of their label” (a Senior Vice President & Head of Streaming, but sure, an employee) was a dick to Jimin and ARMY on purpose, but something a little better than “Sorry this happened, please shut up about it now and give us your money,” would have been nice.
Those are a whole lotta words to say a whole lotta nothing. They just want our money and didn’t address the fact that after 9+ solo releases, they don’t have a template to follow?
Or the reality that Jimin’s 1st release was treated so poorly and nothing has changed.
Really really hope they drop them as well. The gross disrespect is abominable
This apology being the first mention of Jimin having an album out on their Instagram too! A mess
The dude was the director head for streaming. He had to take down his LinkedIn, ig and Twitter.
Mistake my ass, dude had to search for that link and accompanied that link written with “Song of the year.” He forgot to sign in on his stan twitter profile I guess. 🤨
I don’t get it. What even is their job if not distributing music and promoting their artists? Because so far they haven’t been doing either of these things (at least not to a full extend). I mean they have tons of posts about that new GG (good for them) but only one or two about MUSE.
Edit: I mean look at this pic. They managed to post a statement, defending their Head Of Streaming, who behaved downright unprofessional, but not a single post about Jimin or MUSE. I get that some fans can behave irrationally sometimes but I feel like it’s really justified this time around.
I cannot imagine how it feels to be BTS and specifically Jimin. The western industry has such a PROBLEM with you and you’ve done nothing to them??
So it’s on his personal account but doesn’t reflect his personal opinion? BS.
Also, where’s any sort of promotion for Jimin, Geffen?
Oh pls take your apology and shove it. Spent more time writing that statement than promoting his album 😠

this non-apology apology is giving “ukulele apology”
tbh this has made me more annoyed. Telling fans that that tweet didn’t reflect the personal feelings of that employee simply holds no truth because the employee in question LITERALLY POSTED IT. it’s not like its hearsay or a rumor. it was right there. we have receipts.
I am sorry but this statement means nothing, a higher up acting like that on social media speaks volume about what they think of jimin/tannies. i will be side eyeing geffen
not a single apologies in sight

Can someone please enlighten me as to what Geffen does for BigHit ie are they distributors? Do we know how long their deal is and who their competitors are? Because they sure aren’t acting like BTS are an important client like if anyone at my workplace did this they’d be fired on the spot with the company scrambling to apologize to the client in order to keep their business.
Incredibly unserious statement from them. That dude didn’t mistakenly do anything, he acted like a stereotypical toxic stan Twitter account because he didn’t gaf and assumed he could get away from it, and the fact that this is all Geffen came out with after days of people asking them to address it is ridiculous. Insult to injury on top of how deeply useless Geffen seems to be for the group and its members.
