This is a newish series, entitled "I wanna know this one thing!" I'll post one each week, and each week I'll invite you to share the one thing you want to know about a specific topic. Our topics are:
- a specific song (last week)
- a specific performance (this week)
- a specific run BTS episode
- a specific choreo
- a specific MV
- a specific collab
- a specific CF
Our prompt this week is "I want to know this one thing about a specific performance". The one thing I wanna know is about (swoon) their first ever television performance of Black Swan, in late January 2020 on the Tonight show. Why did they choose to perform barefoot? How did that fit into the overall concept?
Edit to make clear: please comment with the one thing you want to know about a specific performance!

As someone who doesn’t dance at all what I heard was it’s because of the contemporary influence/genre? Like that contemporary dance video of Jimin pre-debut he was dancing barefoot I think
I’d love to know how [Jimin did all this blindfolded](https://youtu.be/lTVny1Z0CQg?si=h6NAAG7pgh_U0fb-). Sight is crucial in dance for estimating space around you, distance to the floor etc. This must’ve been so hard and took so much practice and trust in his own body to achieve.
Does anyone know the origin of the vocals on the opening of Spring Day? I saw a video of a live performance first (I think it was from a Korean music show, but I don’t Recall the specific network), where Hobi sang the opening verse. Then in the MV, its RM. was wondering if anyone else noticed this and which version is “cannon”?
Hope this question relates enough to the prompt! I’ve always been a bit curious. And as many BTS anthems, there’s so much individual merit to each memorable version from OG, to MV, to special performances and remixes.
I want to know what possessed Tae in the [Dynamite Cute and Lovely Dance Practice](https://youtu.be/WhDsAW1ZzZ8?si=ZbgmiXLWLNijhkUX) to have that sucker in his mouth the whole time, and also was any of the staff as concerned as I was that he would choke on the damned thing? 😂
I want to know how the boys dance in slides so well and without a shoe falling out or flying off. [See this tiktok for](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTNaJpWwY/) for tons of little clips of this. It’s absolutely fascinating to me, I can hardly go up the stairs in pool shoes sometimes 😭
The one thing I want to know is why we didn’t get the version of Black Swan from this [performance](https://youtu.be/TXwxVm5mH1U?si=LZVvJFa67H9eYzpR). This mix is pure perfection.
