Hello everyone!!
It's been about 2 weeks since Jimin released his second solo album ‘MUSE’!!
On Weverse, Big Hit Music's initial notice said:
Following his first solo album, “FACE,” where he sought to explore his true identity, “MUSE” documents his journey in search of the source of his inspiration.
Two weeks later, how does this album make you feel? What are your favorite tracks, and were they the same on release day? Have you had one song in particular on repeat for the past two weeks? Did one unexpectedly grow on you in that time?

It’s been two weeks?!
I was pretty lukewarm on it when I first listen but it’s a really great album to leave on repeat and hum to. I always discover new instruments or adlibs when I listen!!
Slow Dance is still my fave but I’m obsessed with the WOOOOOWOHH in the background in Who 😂
I still can’t stop listening, and I refuse to believe it’s been two weeks.
So proud of Jimin for this amazing album. I find myself listening front to back and then all over again. I love the theme of wanting to fall in love and feel those feelings. Jimin just does that so well. Like making listeners feel what he feels.
I keep having this thought as I listen to MUSE over and over, and I hope it comes across as I mean it. This album, *to me*, is very reminiscent of the Jimin we know from BTS style-wise, and during this time when they’re all figuring out their individuality and experimenting and trying new things, I find that idea comforting. I seriously love all of the solo albums, like *truly*, but for me, it’s always nice to return home for a bit.
I seriously didn’t think anything could be better than FACE but the minute I heard Rebirth I knew I was wrong. I love MUSE. It’s bright and beautiful and just makes me smile and dance. What impresses me the most though is Jimin’s growth. Considering he recorded them almost back to back, he improved not only as a song writer and producer but he also improved his vocals. I can’t wait to see what he brings to OT7 music next year!
I’ve grown from really not liking it to being able to not always skip when it comes up. It’s not my style and if it wasn’t Jimin I would have never even tried to like it.
Face was the first full album release when I started getting into BTS and it was beautiful, I still love and listen to all of it. Like crazy holds up incredibly well and I think it has the type of longevity that will see it being heavily streamed for years to come.
But yeah I also could never get into Lie and Filter, but streamed Serendipity like crazy, so I guess this type of poppy and Latin leaning sound is just not for me. But im super glad it is doing so well, he deserves it!
Edit: I forgot to add that the dance performance is amazing and I watch it every time it comes up on my timeline (just without sound, sorry)
My favorites are still Who, Rebirth and Be Mine. Some songs took a bit more listening to grow on me but the whole album is so cohesive. It really feels like you need to listen all songs beginning to end.
My absolute favorite part of this project though is how confident, clear and playful Jimin’s singing was. Learning that he retook some vocal training prior to this just shows me that he really was down to take his singing further and boy he did. We got that old bts Jimin tone but 2.0, we got lower register pop Jimin and he killed the charts. MUSE era is definitely for the records.
I can’t get enough of Muse. I listen to it in full at least once a day. I think because it’s so short and so cohesive, I just can’t listen to one song from it and that’s it. I don’t have a favourite song, I love them all. I was surprised how much I liked Interlude: Showtime. I also think everything about the album is just so good (photo cards, merch, album versions, MVs incl. visualisers, Who remixes and now Be Mine – Eng version). Jimin’s voice is so so beautiful.
