half day at work, free lunch and now home to listen to layover!! i’m thinking that rainy days might still be the one because i really really loved it but i’m still mega excited for the rest of the album!

Currently stuck in the hospital for lab tests (routine) but i have watched Slow Dancing and i love it 💜💜
If there is an alternate pocket universe with beautiful smiles and sultry swaying and piercing gazes, with golden sparkles and shimmering blues, and slowly held breaths and soft exhales, Taehyung is the forever host and I wanna be there.
It’s a cold windy day where I am and this is the perfect playlist to stay inside and enjoy ☺️
It all just *flows* so well. I like it all but think Slow Dancing and Blue are up there for me right now
Edit: i really love all the instrumental aspects of the songs (piano, flute etc. I like how it’s utilized with his vocals while still feeling fluid/synergy but not a power battle…if that makes sense. It’s been a long day here 😅but wanted to stay up for release

I absolutely must go to sleep but I’m already excited to wake up and listen to the album about 10 more times. It’s a complete package 🫶
Oh I was not expecting For Us at all… What a gorgeous, unique track. And Blue is everything I wanted. Can’t decide yet which of those two is my favorite. The whole album flows together so well too, it’s so chill and groovy.
Well, Kim Taehyung will always keep us on our toes, so happy that he created a body of work purely tailored to his taste.
Rainy Days: Like how it starts the album, setting the mood about how the album will sound like, I like how it speeds up during the middle, I think changing the key in an abrupt matter enhanced the song.
Blue: He looks so heartfelt in this one, while a little repetitive, I can get where he’s going with it.
Love Me Again: He’s such a crooner! He really shines in this type of songs, I like how the instrumental doesn’t overpower his vocals that are rightfully front and center.
Slow Dancing: Very groovy song, I can see why it was chosen as a title track, I feel that it encapsulates the whole mood of the album.
For Us: Very groovy song! The beginning stood out, perfect for a cloudy afternoon.
Slow Dancing (Piano Version): I love piano so I actually liked it better than the original one.
All in all, a very Tae album, he’s such a romantic soul! I wish he had writing credits but that’s just a personal preference.
I absolutely love this album!! For Us is a masterpiece.

Overall I really enjoy Layover! I like the easy listening, low fi vibes and the album flows really well. I know that it won’t necessarily be for everyone.
I’m tempted to crack open a Beaujolais and listen to it in the bath later. I love the use of instruments on the tracks and excited for some of his live performances with them.
For us, stood out from the new songs for me. It was completely unexpected and I wish we had another track like it. I know it’s only an EP, but it did feel short. Maybe if I play Face after, I can pretend it’s a vmin album
