I wonder when we’ll get the bts documentary….
finally got my copy of layover! the blue one, because it’s my favourite colour. it’s wonderful, i love all the details on the packaging.
it’s so much *younger* than i expected. back when kth1 was basically a rumour, i always imagined he would do a ratpack cosplay for the artwork.
anyway, love the album and how *v* it sounds. it’s an album that’ll appeal to a lot of people, even ones who aren’t necessarily into kpop. he did a fantastic job!
I was thinking about how Jungkook said he wasn’t all soft and round anymore, that he was also edgy and sharp (or something like that). I’m glad he feels comfortable and confident enough to show these sides to us. It’s funny though, because I’ve always been more of a soft and squishy person myself. One reason I liked my husband so much when I met him was because he was one of the kindest, eye-smiliest, soft sweater-y, hug-y people I’d ever met. Good thing Jungkook is both so everyone gets what they like with him 😂
Do you think there will be merch for V’s comeback? I forget what the timeline was for other members’ comeback merch.
If there is merch, what would you like it to be?

I miss yoongi so much. Whenever I listen to the Dday concert playlist I feel such a connection with him. I can’t help it after watching so many of his concerts. That last show 😭 I need to watch it again.

Any insights from music industry perspective about timing of album releases? I understand artists have their own timelines and shouldn’t feel the need to reschedule based on what other top artists are doing, however I have noticed for specific weeks, a bunch of top artists are all releasing at the same time, while some weeks are quieter.
From the industry perspective, are there just key music dates or award seasons or maybe financial quarters they need to hit that dictate timing of releases?
I could understand different companies are focused on their own thing and their own calendars, although in movie industry, sometimes they do move release dates to avoid direct head-to-head weekends. Does that happen in the music industry too?
The latest example is Olivia, Nicki, CardiB and Megan, along with Tae releasing around the same time. Those are quite big names in popular music all at the same time, while some weeks it’s a lot of country guys. The case for Geffen is even more interesting because it would seem they know the schedule ahead of time. Olivia’s album is through Geffen and Tae’s is through BigHit/Geffen. What would be the commercial motivation for head-to-head releases? Versus offsetting them to maximize publicity and exposure for their artists? Or perhaps competition between fan bases might actually drive sales up?
I have really enjoyed all the BTS members suchwita episodes. 💜 Suchwita really is such a great show.
