Hello [everyone](https://i.imgur.com/HOgpwjw.png)!!
It’s been about 2 weeks since V released his album ‘Layover’!!
On [Weverse](https://weverse.io/bts/notice/14760), Big Hit Music’s initial notice said:
*Layover consists of six tracks in total – five tracks and a bonus track. To fully appreciate the album’s flow, we recommend listening to it in sequence from start to finish.*
1. **Rainy Days** –
In this track, V’s voice melds beautifully with the sound of rain and everyday white noises, tugging at the listeners’ heartstrings.
2. **Blue** –
An homage to old school R&B with a modern twist, adding a special flair to the song.
3. **Love Me Again** –
A light and captivating R&B track with an alluring vibe that lingers long. V’s signature baritone shines through in this track.
4. **Slow Dancing** –
The focus track of this album, a ‘70s romantic soul style track that exudes a laid-back and free-spirited feeling, just as the title suggests.
5. **For Us** –
A pop R&B track that leaves a lasting impression of the entire album. It serves as an epilogue, stirring up deep emotions with V’s vocals and unique lyrics.
6. **Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.)** –
A piano arrangement of the focus track “Slow Dancing,” which offers a different allure from the original as a bonus track

My appreciation of Layover has surprised me – I absolutely LOVE it. I wasn’t sure I would like an entire album of soulful, r&b music, but I am in love and now want to explore other music in this genre. I have always been partial to V’s voice, but this was unexpected. One thing about the album I noticed is that there aren’t any pauses between songs. Each one blends into the next so that it’s one continuous story. The more I listen to it, the more I love it. Color me shocked!
I knew I would love this album and I haven’t been proven wrong yet! I loved listening in order and looping it so the piano version of Slow Dancing melds perfectly with the intro to Rainy Days! Was kind of on the fence about Blue and For Us, but they’ve grown on me.
Slow Dancing is by far my favorite track and has been living rent free in my head for at least 3 days; I’ve been having fun making up my own improv verse and playing around with rhythms/harmonies. Hearing the live versions with the band, their arrangements and creativity, has been really inspiring and I never get tired of how amazing (*and consistent*) Tae’s voice is in every performance!
Slow Dancing is now my favorite track of the album, the flute part never gets old
After that Band Session version yesterday, I am slowly warming up to Slow Dancing! There is really just something about how BTS members elevates a song when they perform it live.
I still maintain that V’s sound in this album is not what I normally enjoy. 🙂
Must admit that, at first, I only really like Love You Again & For Us. The whole album was just a different vibe from what I listen to, but it’s just very Taehyung (props to him).
Also surprised that Slow Dancing, which I initially dislike upon release, is now one of my favorites. The album is definitely a grower; the more I listen to it, the more I get it. It’s great.
Listening to it from start to finish in order is definitely my preference! I have a hard time choosing a favorite, but Blue is definitely the one I connect the least with. It works with the flow of the album though. And I much prefer the original Slow Dancing to the piano version. I needs me the jazz flute solo!!
I will admit I liked the studio versions just fine, but the live versions are exceptional!! This ends up being true for every BTS song for me. Even if I like a song initially, I like it exponentially more after hearing a live performance.
I’m so obsessed with for us, I know we’re not supposed to loop but like I have it on loop so much. It does something to my insides
i’ll be honest and say even as a heavy rnb/soul listener the only song that really spoke to me was love me again, this is because the album sort of blended together to much to the point where it felt like one huge song. i love tae’s tone in for us but over all this album wasn’t it for me. i still will continue to support him and look forward to what other genres he may tap into for the future
I still love For Us the most, followed by Blue. For Us gets me in the feels. The way Taehyung sang it was so emotional and his voice range was in full display. It’s probably the closest to alternative music which is the type of music i like before BTS. The surprising break in the middle was awesome. I like the moodiness of Blue. Slow Dancing’s so much better with a live band. Love Me Again had the most vocals, that’s what I love about it. Rainy Days is my least favourite but it goes well with the rest of the album. It’s a great album to listen to from beginning to end. My wish is for Tae to release an extended version of For Us, it’s so short, it’s tragic.
I love all the songs. They have something Taeish about them. Although they aren’t what I usually listen to within my BTS playlist, I wont mind coming across them from time to time
