**Edit: if you don’t like Harlows part, listen to the alternate ver. On Spotify! It’s removed** 😊 I loved ’00s style, but not the attitude towards women. I’ve lived through it once, I don’t wanna do it again lol
JK music video producers: how can we get him soaking wet in this video 🤣
It’s a bop for sure!
Someone hold me the sexy early 2000s vibes are so immense
who was the one who predicted he would take the sledgehammer to the fire hydrant and dance in the splash?
See what? Do what???!! This song is about phone s*x I think 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The “so if you’re ready, and if you’ll let me” line is very nice. Jungkook asking for consent! Loveeeeeee it!
Millennials, this music is right up our alley!!! 90s/Y2K music is here again! Jungkook bringing sexy back, bye Justin lol
Jack Harlow’s rap is terrible. Latto’s lyricism worked so well in Seven. His rap is just vulgar and his flow is bad. The song is great without his parts.
Thank goodness the Alternate version exists. Jungkook all on his own sounds so good!
Very 2000s Justin Timberlake. I like it more than Seven, atleast. The Jack Harlow feature is meh to me, his lyrics were.. pretty bad. Could’ve done without to be honest. Don’t think the song needed it.
Edit: on second listen on Spotify, JK is whispering the chorus and…. He’s a fucking menace
Omg this is so early 2000s with a little bit of Bruce Almighty aesthetics!!
This gives me very early 2010s Bruno mars vibes but in the best way possible, JK sounds and looks incredible, a good song to end the summer for sure! Idk how I feel about Jack Harlow’s part, his flow is uhhh whatever but idk if I vibe with lyrics a lot, they just sound off putting to me but hey that’s just me
I adore every part with JK but I’m really not sure how I feel about that Harlow verse, or how it goes with it.
Very glad for the alternate version because it’s what I’ll be listening to! I’m really happy he did that this time.
This has intense BSB vibes tbh
Love JK’s part, the rap portion is horrible if I’m being honest. Just my initial thoughts 😂
Honest question so don’t get mad…what do y’all think is the “more mature” side of JK that we’re supposed to see?
I love JK with all my heart and really like his parts of the song, but the rap is just awful and easily makes this my least favorite collab of theirs. I desperately hope they release a version with just JK, otherwise I find it hard to listen to this song on repeat.
i love the early 2000s vibe like *damn*
not really a fan of jack harlow’s verse though… i’ll prob just have the alternate ver on repeat instead 🫣
The rap part should be deleted
Jack Harlow: I’m gonna blow their minds by rhyming took with untook. Lol.
Feature is underwhelming to me but I already love the song at first listen.
It’s giving Justified era Justin Timberlake and I’n here for it.
What does Jack know about ABGs
I will be jamming out to the alternate, Jack-less version. I loved all of Jungkook’s parts.
Jack’s rap was awful. Just bragging about bagging girls, throwing around words like “thot”…ugh. Someone remind him the core audience of BTS is grown women who respect themselves too much to swoon for shitty objectifying lyrics like that.
mmmk I know nothing about Jack Harlow and don’t have any desire to change that
The Alternate Version is perfect and they should have just left it at that!
PSA the alternate ver. on spotify has no jack harlow!! thank god lol
Jungkook was absolutely amazing, his dance, his style, his voice!!!!
Harlow completely ruined it for me though! Everything about his part was off-putting, sooo misogynistic, ew.
I… feel strong dislike for the Jack Harlow rap(s). I felt eh and then I heard ABG and just like rolled my eyes. I don’t know anything about him but get ick from those verses and his sections of the MV. It’s too bad – I generally thought it was nice and catchy and JK sounds great and looks like he’s having fun but can’t imagine listening to the version with JH. Thankfully Spotify has the Alternate Ver which is all JK – it’s more enjoyable this way for me.
The female dancers who bust out in all black around 1:08 looked awesome too!
Love JK’s parts but agree with everyone that says that Harlow’s parts are giving them the ick.
Thoughts… JK looks hot as always, wet choreo ftw, gold star for whoever came up with that! I liked his parts, the song is catchy (I do think I preferred Seven a little more but I’ll keep streaming like the good ARMY I am).
The rap… I don’t mind spicy or explicit lyrics, I definitely don’t mind fucking seven days a week. But these lyrics felt a little cheap to me. More like Expensive Girl than 21st Century Girl.
Repeating what I said in my group chat:
Could’ve totally done without Jack Harlow…he kept taking me out of the moment. At least with Latto in Seven, her verse made sense with the rest of the song. With Harlow’s parts (especially the second part), I was like “umm, what???”
The Alternate Version is Harlow-free and flows so much better!!
Oh well the alternate version it is for me, I didn’t really enjoy Jack Harlow’s part at all.
Alternate version is so much better to listen to. I need alternate version of MV too. (Just cut out JH please lol)
I’m honestly so glad to see everyone else saying Jack Harlow’s lyrics give them the ick. 😅 I’m relieved it’s not just me! Jungkook’s part was great but Jack’s lyrics are coming off pretty misogynistic to me. It’s honestly a little disappointing that they were even included on his song. I’ll only be listening to the alternate version from here on out.
I do really love how most (if not all) of us are at the same consensus that Jack Harlow adds nothing (and, honestly, detracts) to this otherwise fantastic song. <3 Now I just need an edit of the video that doesn’t have Harlow’s parts…
I wonder maybe the producers were anticipating that Harlowe’s part may not go over entirely well and that’s why there’s an alternate version? I don’t think it’s gross enough to be edited for radio, so I’m not sure why else there would be an alternate…
Oh love the early 2000s vibes! Jungkook is so versatile, and the MV is really fun, even though the storyline had me confused (but that’s because I’m barely awake). A reason to go back and watch it again later!
It’s a fun little bop, but I’ll be honest… nothing that, idk, ‘picks me up’. I think I said this before during Seven, but it feels almost a little *too* generic in the lyrics. If JK doesn’t want to write himself that’s absolutely fine by me – I personally think it’s a shame, because he’s very talented and the solos he has written have a very beautiful sensitivity that’s so him, but it’s also a lot of work, and especially in a language you’re far from fluent in. The reason why he doesn’t want to write doesn’t matter; it’s his choice and that’s great! If he wants to be an interpreter instead, which is a huge skill in itself, that’s a valid choice and one he’s perfectly suited to with his versatility.
The lyrics just… idk don’t seem ‘personalised’, when that was and is a big charm of BTS’ English songs as a group. Anyone could sing this, and it’d probably be mildly successful because it’s a bop and an American label would use the magic of payola to push some small debut artist – but Jungkook singing it is what makes it into a standout. I *personally* would like if the lyrics were a little less generic, and a little more ‘hey, we got Jungkook of BTS, one of THE biggest pop stars in history’, and by that I mean I wish they had a little *more*. I have no word for it, but I hope you know what I mean – to me personally they just feel a little flat.
And yeah, BH and JK signed up on it, but that doesn’t mean I can’t wish / hope for something that takes him out of the ‘generic pop boy’ feeling this serves right now 😅 think Bieber or, a good comparison for this, Justin Timberlake – they have a distinct sound that goes beyond their voice, and I think it’s also linked to their lyrics. I’d wish the same for JK, especially as he’s so keen on surfing genres (which is SO exciting!!).
I said something similar about Seven, I think, and 3D, in comparison, is more jarring 😅 Anyways, our Kookie is an excellent performer, and he’s the one that – once again – will make this a standout song. It’s very trendy, very fun.
but… Jack Harlow’s verse is… actively bad. I know being cheesy and a bit cringe is his brand, but it genuinely didn’t expect *this*. If his flow were better it wouldn’t be so bad, but somehow it just feels like a bit of a mess to me. It’s especially jarring because JK has his little rap moment not too long before, which is SO cool and had me kicking my feet, and it makes the difference really stark.
Honestly, you could show me the lyrics, tell me it’s a joke rap from The Lonely Island and I’d have believed it 😅
And then, when you think ‘yay more JK’, Jack Harlow *makes a second appearance* 😅 definitely an experience at 5am. It didn’t feel real at first. I feel like there was a rumor about a version without Jack, and I hope it’s true…
(Also, a gripe, but I wish people would learn how to pronounce JK’s name correctly. I know it’s necessary for the rhyme to work, but eh…)
The choreo looks really, really cool though! All these hours JK put in really paid off – I’m eagerly awaiting the dance practice!!
…gonna have to stick to the JK only version…not into Jack Harlow’s “contribution”…different strokes for different folks, so, not gonna hate on anyone who has a contrasting opinion…but maybe “dead body” not the best choice of words? 🤔
My favorite scene was the one when Jack wasn’t in them.
This can become an on ft sia moment for the fandom. Jack’s abg lyrics though 🫤
I miss our rap line
I can’t help but think this song would be perfect if it was a namkook collab. I’ll be listening to the alternate version lol
That rap was so horrendous it genuinely wiped the smile off my face and made my skin crawl. Maybe i’m dramatic and don’t listen to western rappers but the entire thing felt degrading and fetishizing… idk man I just feel like no one truly explained to JK wtf Jack was saying bc it’s so loaded but must be impossible to translate.
Will only be listening to the alternate ver for sure and I hope no one uses this feature against JK. here’s to hoping his album is more of JUST him 🙏
Really like the melody, but honestly right now I feel so disappointed in JK to have blatantly misogynistic lyrics like those in his song, even if he didn’t sing em. When the chorus 1st came on, I was really happy with the “if you’ll let me” line, coz yay, consent, but then this Harlow dude came on and just… I hate the fact that this has left such a bitter taste even though I really do dig all of JK’s parts.
Sorry if I’m overreacting, but idk man, in a little bit of a shock after those rap verses…
So we all agree that Jack’s verse was really disappointing? The dead body & abg lines caught me so off guard. I was not just underwhelmed i was genuinely disappointed listening to 3D that i don’t even have the heart to go listen to the alternative version to see if it’s worth it. Putting myself on november album mode already to try and forget about this 😅
Jack’s part is unbearable. His feature really was not needed at all. I don’t understand why they didn’t just release the alternate version as the official one and that’s it . It’s probably for the US charts and to get radio and playlisting easier with Jack’s name there but it’s not worth it for such a bad verse
I really like Jungkook’s part, he sounds great!! Looks great in the video too ☺️
But then…..I am admittedly a Certified Jack Harlow Hater, so I def went into this with a negative bias from the second the collab got announced, but I was hoping he might finally surprise me. His part is um. So much worse than I was even expecting it to be tbh.
Anyway. LOVE our golden maknae, I’ll just stick to the alternate version ✌️✌️
was taken aback hearing the word ‘thot’ in a bts song so you’re telling me we killed war of hormone for nothing? public execution and all
I have a lot of mixed feelings about this. In terms of production and quality, it’s a bop. It’s everything the Gods of pop would approve of.
In terms of lyrics, it’s everything I hate. Frankly even without Jacks’s part. Music is overly saturated with horny men. The one reason I really, truly loved BTS is because they showed respect for women and for themselves. This is the opposite of that. I’m glad there is a level of consent on JKs part and good for him for adding that, but I was just hoping for something different to be honest.
I came straight here to see other people’s reaction and it seems like we’re mostly on the same page. I like the JKs parts of the song and video, I’m actually surprised that Jack Harlow’s verse got the okay. It’s so misogynistic and gross, the opposite of what BTS stands for! From past examples, I’m pretty sure most Korean company’s don’t look into the background of collab artists beyond ‘are they sufficiently popular’ but you’d think they’d at least review the collab lyrics for content.
on ft sia 🫱🏻🫲🏼 3d ft jack harlow
Glad I’m not the only one, I was like – oh no no JK😔, who writes such lyrics in this day and age🤦♀️
The Jack Harlow’s version will be like On ft Sia’s where we ARMY collectively act as if it doesn’t exist.
3d should’ve just stayed 3d. We didn’t need Jack. Very off -putting.
My 39yo ass is so happy the 2000s are coming back
Get it JK
**Edit: if you don’t like Harlows part, listen to the alternate ver. On Spotify! It’s removed** 😊
