This episode is so nice. I feel like watching Yoongi spending time with a Yoongi-like senior/idol. Hearing about NELL’s concerts makes me excited for what Yoongi and the rest of BTS come up with in the future. I could listen to them talk about Dear My Friend all day. And Yoongi is so consistent every time he talks to a fellow musician, he praises Jungkook and talks about how he always uses him for the guides 😆
Also, aww..Kim Jong Wan was such a dream collaborator, putting aside his own work to give his best to Dear My Friend! And Yoongi is really great at finding the best people to work with!
I think this is the first time we’ve heard Yoongi talking about how he was surprised at Daechwita’s popularity, and I am inferring he thinks of it as his best work (cos he compared it to Nell’s top hit song) which would be difficult for him to top!
Just realised that the Nell hit song mentioned at the end, “Time Walking on Memory” starts with the same word as “Dear My Friend” : 아직도 (still/even now). Wow.. I can imagine that Yoongi did that deliberately as a call back to that song.
i was waiting to see if the editors would come through once again with the cat memes. thank you suchwita editors, you never disappoint <3
I looooove this episode. They were just in this small bubble of talking about music and appreciating each other. 🥹
This was probably the interview where the guest spoke so deeply about Yoongi’s work and I just love that for him. The way KJW talked about AgustD, D-2, D-Day shows he really listened multiple times to those albums. That appreciation as well of the very well-crafted storyline of the show, up to the very end, was just wonderful. Yoongi, most successful fanboy, really.
Also very touched that KJW reached out to appear in this show. Yoongi has really created a safe space for artists, especially musicians, to really talk deeply. The questions as well show great knowledge of the guest, altho obviously for this, Yoongi would have known a great deal, being such a big fan.
It was a bit funny when he talked about incorporating scents, which I find really cool. You can see the wheels turning in Yoongi’s mind. 😆
When Yoongi said how he performs to give others strength, and those 2 hours can give comfort for the next months, I wanted to tell him that it’s even longer than that. From the time he announced the tour, to the concert itself, to the months after, it really helped me get thru a lot of tough months.
Now I want to listen to more NELL. They feel, in a way, like mirrors of each other, and I bet Yoongi didn’t want the filming to be over. It feels like when you finally find someone that just gets you and you don’t have to explain your quirks. I hope they continue to be in close contact. Glad there are some great influences like Tablo and NELL around our workaholic Min PD.
Ugh, miss him so much. I hope he enjoyed watching tonight’s episode, too. To the young Min Yoongi, thank you for all your diligent hardwork in the past years, which resulted in gifting us a tour before your enlistment.
3 things are certain in life:
1. death 2. taxes 3. yoongi bringing up joon and jk on a suchwita episode
i love that suchwita has allowed yoongi to interview his childhood idols about music in an official manner; what a full circle moment it must be for him.
and i think this ep brought up so many good points as to why BTS are so loved – their love for music itself, them consistently and diligently putting out music, them recognising that concerts are a gift to their fans so they give their all during the shows, the power of music to inspire and comfort fans and the next generation of musicians by being the sun that shines on them. it was really comforting to know how like-minded kim jong wan and yoongi are on those points, and this conversation just left me feeling so warm ♥️
It’s lovely to hear them talk about music, because you can easily notice how much they love it. I like the difference Kim Jong Wan mentioned about being in love with yourself doing music or loving music itself. And the part about not only making hay while the sun shines, but also making the sun shine for other people.
Jungkook intimidating artists with his guide vocals haha, of course
When Kim Jong Wan talked about Suga’s concert, he sounded like a professional reviewer haha. He was only saying facts though. Interesting that NELL uses fragrance in their shows, I could see BTS doing that too.
Also interesting that their latest music is based on simulation theory. I already like a lot of NELL songs, but after this I want to listen to more. Although it’s a bit intimidating when they’ve been active for over 20 years and released an album every 1 or 2 years 😅
Yoongi really made a comfortable, safe space where they can talk about music, same interests, bond, honestly, just have fun. Not just for his brothers but also for other artists. I’m so proud of you, Yoongi!
I think that’s the most I’ve seen Yoongi eat on the show with a non-member guest. That chicken must be really good!
And I’ve literally only seen one cover of Daechwita (even then it was jsut the fast rap part). I bet there’s gonna be more nw that he’s asking for it 😆
So busy now but can’t wait to see this Ep tomorrow!! Dear My Friend is one of my fav song from yoongi and I loved KJW vocals in it so this gonna be fun to watch for sure!! I saw some clips on twt and the editors were so funny in here lmao
I miss him so bad 😭
Also yoongi saying that he tends to work on half of his next album while completing his current album…. Hint? 👀
completely forgot this was happening today!
i was battling intrusive sleep during the training i had to attend, when the notification came in. that was the boost of energy i needed.
i had no idea nell had some louder songs too. guess i only ever clicked on the softer ones. i definitely have to give them another chance.
Wow, I think this might be my favorite non-tannie episode. Kim Jong Wan comes across incredibly earnest, sincere and with such genuine love for music, and just getting to listen into their conversation is an honour. I loved hearing about his music, still trying new things, so innovative and with so much to share. I think it’s wonderful that Yoongi gets to talk with these seasoned artists who have so much good advice to give, and are such great examples of being there for the music always. Yoongi is always ready with so much genuine praise and appreciation for his guests, i loved how in this episode he got the shower of praise back a ton, and you could tell every word was meant. And the genuine fondness with which they both talk about their members, ah it’s all so lovely.
I have to give a big shoutout to the editors because Suchwita really is such a beautifully-edited show. Not just the memes (which are always stellar), but the song choices, captions, clip inserts. They always make me so emotional and craft the narrative of the show so well. Always so well researched too 🥺💜 also did not realise how much I’ve missed Yoongi, but I was so distracted in the beginning every time he smiled. Gosh I miss that smile. I’m so glad we have these episodes.
I really liked this episode! I think it gave us an insight of D-2 and D-Day, how he worked through his emotions to make them.
He also touched on how the final songs of his albums serve as a “curtain call” of sorts, there’s a cathartic feeling to them, especially if you listen to the albums in order.
Always raving about Dear My Friend and Life Goes On, what a masterpiece (special shout-out to Everything Goes, love that song).
LMFAO BigHit saying Jungkook’s guide vocals would be intimidating to other artists is a whole MOOD 🤣
Oh I miss Yoongi’s kitten face. Please can we get D-Day The Final on DVD soon, I won’t last till 2025.
Oh how I’ve missed him 🥺
Is it too late to move my 2pm meeting so I can watch live? 😂
i look forward to yoongi’s OTT expressions and dramatic speech every time he has to do a PPL
I am ready to hear how he incorporates more band music into his work
HE’S SO CUTEEEE ^(i wanna squish)

Another Suchwita episode where Yoongi can’t help but [mention JK’s talent!](https://twitter.com/btsmemeories/status/1714272086213239264?t=2IibJaCJ4ONcLM805owkrg&s=19)
