As usual, I have a lot of thoughts but overall I really liked the quote
>”WINGS as a whole was a journey where BTS shifted between team, individual, and unit under a singular concept, as well as a contiguous medly featuring seven narrative dramas by each of the seven members”
While reading about each of the members’ solo tracks, I really got the sense of an underlying theme (at least for the production process) being the need for communication and moving from darkness to light. How the members in their solo tracks all took time and had the courage to open up about their perspectives/feelings – to Bang PD, to each other, or just the act of writing their own track- and explore those feelings helped them bring to light what they had all been keeping hidden: fears, insecurities, confusions, perceived weaknesses, desires/ambitions, etc. And then to work through/with those feelings, take on technical challenges, and reconcile past with present and future, they created incredibly vulnerable, personal and honest tracks that were unique to each individual member (in sound, style, expression and performance) but all still clearly pointing to and curating the overall concept.
