And what ride it has been! Always thankful of all he’s done for his fans and members and most importantly, what he has done for himself
And so it began…
I’ve loved seeing the growth over the 3 albums, but it’s so impressive thinking how young he was when he wrote and released Agust D.
In addition to a live D-Day album/DVD, my dream would be a box set of the trilogy. I would pay so much to have all three as physical albums!
Still listen to songs from this album pretty much daily. Absolutely love the growth over the course of this trilogy.
forever and always a banger
This mixtape got me into music production, and I’m forever grateful.
I’d never heard a kpop artist release something so personal and so raw. While listening to The Last for the first time, I remember pausing it and taking a moment to process the lyrics. I felt like it was too personal, too vulnerable, like I was hearing someone’s diary read aloud. I was worried, but also grateful for his willingness to share that publicly.
I’m so thankful that Yoongi was able to get help for his mental health struggles, have shoulder surgery to undo the chronic pain, and move on with his life as a seemingly happy, well-adjusted adult. His first mixtape will always be my favorite.
Although he’s said he might have had some regrets, I hope he’s even a little aware of just how much of an impact his solo music has had on so many of us. Thinking about how this was his *debut* mixtape, I can see why even early on Bang PD called him a genius.
Btw, this is a reminder for everyone to show “724148” some more love because that song is straight up great, fun storytelling, even across a language barrier.
What a rollercoaster. One of my fave albums and one of my big entry points into BTS. Totally changed my understanding of kpop.
I saw this [tweet](https://twitter.com/sugatheartist/status/1691470327895699458?s=46&t=lkx997tgd0bmFQo6AX0BFA) and read through the interviews and wanted to share here because the interviews were really lovely. Yoongi is one of the most consistent people in the way he talks about his process and thoughts. He’s obviously done a lot of work and healing on himself but it was comfy to read these knowing who is now. Plus the added benefit of him being so excited about tech equipment which is adorable.

Give it to me is my shit! My first agust d mv and..yeah..Min Yoongi became my everything, lol.
Damn…I was just watching American Hustle Life and I’m realizing again how much 2023 Suga has gone back to the 2014 Suga who was just a happy kid with the biggest smile, goofiest attitude, wisest prophecies and purest hope. It’s totally cool seeing him overcome all the rough patches in between, his hurt, fatigue and insecurities, and grow into someone so many others take comfort in…proud of you, our Yoongi 💜 * happy sigh*
…because Yoongi is the reason I decided to go ALL in with Bangtan, listening to this album really cemented my respect and love for him, as an artist and human…listening to it for the first time I was like “DAMN, HE’S BEEN THROUGH SOME SHIT!”
…being able to hear some of those songs performed live, and rap and scream along was such a gift…
…and I am in NO way apologetic about goin’ hard and shaking my ass during “Give it to Me” at the concert…😉
so proud of him ❤️🔥🫶🏻
So proud of him and the incredible man he has become today💜
this whole mixtape is so raw. i still listen to it regularly, especially agust d and the last.
it’s crazy how he was only 23 when he released this.
A to the G to the U to the STD
I will never forget the first time I heard this. I was doing a landscaping project in my yard and had gone and gotten some rocks. They were loaded into the back of my SUV, and I thought, “I haven’t listened to AgustD yet. I wonder if I’ll like it.” And then Verse 2 happened and just blew me away.
I know both him and RM have kind of disowned their debut projects now, but there’s something about the energy on those records that is so infectious that I can’t help but feel sad that they don’t love the projects so much as the fans do.
